What is Coaching?
The aim of coaching is to help make it easier for clients to develop goals,
overcome obstacles which have hindered them in the past, and feel more organized
and capable of pursuing goals in the future. As a Life Coach, Molly:

- Monitors and validates progress
| How does it work? |
When clients feel a sense of personal control and self esteem, they are
capable of achieving much more. Some people don't know how to approach a goal
and formulate an action plan for accomplishing it. A Life Coach helps clients formulate goals, overcome resistance,
and develop the necessary confidence and skills to succeed. |
| How is coaching different from therapy? |
Therapists/Coaches are both psychotherapists and motivational coaches; the
practices are not mutually exclusive, but rather, complementary. Therapy is
generally more concerned with the client's past working through trauma, blocks,
earlier experiences, etc.; whereas, coaching is generally more concerned with
the present and future setting clear goals and going about attaining them. The
therapist assists clients therapeutically by helping to develop insight into
internal blocks and to overcome them. The life coach assists clients
motivationally to overcome blocks and in setting and achieving goals.

As a former teacher and guidance counselor, supervisor, therapist and
consultant who has worked with children, adolescents, and adults for over 30
years in the area of wellness and personal growth, Molly is an
expert in the areas of self esteem enhancement, identifying limiting beliefs,
examining resistance, and motivating client behavior change.
What will we do?
Designed growth experiences will be recommended for practice between
scheduled sessions. Fees, schedules, venues, and other details - along with a
statement of understanding and informed consent - will be discussed in an
initial interview.
The coaching experience consists of a set number of sessions conducted with a
combination of in-person and phone consultations in which we will:
- Define and identify problem areas
- Set goals
- Examine roadblocks
- Outline skills and techniques to remove roadblocks
- Evaluate progress
- Develop a “wellness plan”
- Explore resistance to change
- Celebrate successes
